SPEAKER: Olivia Harvey

Olivia Harvey is originally from Boyce, a small town in Northern Virginia.  She holds a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. She has over 17 years of experience as a full-time health and human services professional and has served on a number of state, local, and national committees as a disability services expert and as an advocate for quality care for persons with disabilities, the aged, the indigent, and the infirm. 

Most recently, Olivia felt the Lord leading her in a new direction. In May 2021, she graduated with cum laude honors from Mountain Empire Community College in Big Stone Gap, Va, with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing. She also received the nursing department’s Outstanding Professional Performance Award.  In January 2022, Olivia accepted a position as a registered nurse in the cardiac catheterization lab of Holston Valley Medical Center.  Not bad for a girl who struggled through school and was diagnosed with a learning disability in her childhood! 

Olivia has a passion for pursuing God’s will and for encouraging others to reach their fullest potential. She has been teaching the Bible to people of all ages for most of her adult life.  Above all, Olivia is passionate about studying and sharing the full Gospel and about teaching others how to find hope and healing for the whole person through the transforming power of the Word of God.  

Olivia  and her husband Jason have been married for over 17 years. Along with their cat Buddy, they make their home in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Olivia and Jason have been members of Cornerstone Church of Johnson City, TN, since August 2010, and together, they teach the Cornerstone Young Saints and serve on the Altar Team. 

In her free time, Olivia enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and cooking.
