We Believe
The whole Bible is Divinely inspired by God. It is infallible and inerrant. The Word of God is personal, alive and is the Christian’s rule of faith and practice. We use several English translations of the Bible noting that the original Scriptures were written in Greek and Hebrew and that men reference those texts to translate into English by the help of the Holy Spirit.

There is one God, the Creator of heaven and earth. He exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is love, as He clearly demonstrated in the person and sacrifice of His son, Jesus Christ.

Who is the first begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He was both fully God and fully man. He walked our earth, manifesting the nature of God and the will of God for all of mankind. By the plan of God from before the foundation of the earth, He suffered at the hands of men, was crucified, died and buried as a sacrifice for all sin for all time for whosoever receives Him. He defeated death and sin, was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven. He was seated at the right hand of God, where he ever lives to make intercession for those who have chosen Him.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity; He was given, as Jesus prophesied and as was promised by the Father, on the Day of Pentecost to be our Helper while we are in the earth. He is One with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is not only active in the world today convicting of sin, righteousness and judgment, but also is active in the life of every believer who receives Him, empowering them to do the miracle works of Jesus. We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, as demonstrated in the believers of the original New Testament church.

We believe in the fruits the Holy Spirit brings as well as in all the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Men have changed. Tradition has changed. But God has never changed. It was and still is His plan for every believer to be equipped with these essential, supernatural endowments of the Holy Spirit for successful Christian living.

God created man in His own image and placed him on the earth to have dominion over the works of His hands, as he walks in fellowship with and in obedience to Him. God’s original intention in creating mankind was that He could have a family. But man, by voluntary transgression, sinned against God thereby forfeiting his position and fellowship with God. God devised a plan whereby His innocent Son, Jesus Christ, could come to earth and take upon Himself the transgression of man and all its consequences, making the way for the Father to be reunited with His family.

Man’s only hope of redemption and restoration to God is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ at the cross of Calvary. This redemption is for this present life as well as the life that is to come, that is, heaven as our eternal home with God. It is offered to every man, woman, and child. The choice to receive this redemption is one that each one has to make for himself. Salvation is received by faith in Jesus Christ and Him alone, not by any human works or goodness.

Water baptism holds a significant purpose in salvation, yet is not mandatory for eternal life and fellowship with God. It is an outward sign of an inward change of heart. This change happens when one receives Jesus as Lord and Savior and it is what is called the New Birth. Water baptism, signifying burial with Christ and resurrection to a new life, should be observed as commanded in Holy Scriptures by all who have repented of sin and, in their hearts, have truly believed in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.

Every Christian should participate in Holy Communion as often as they would, privately and corporately, which consists of the partaking of the elements of bread and wine signifying our identification with the broken body and shed blood of Jesus Christ.

The redemptive work of Jesus Christ includes Divine provision for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing of every believer. Every part of man that was affected by the fall of man is more than restored in full by this great salvation found in Jesus Christ.

The Word of God on marriage is the basis for our faith and practice. God created marriage. It is a covenant made between a man and a woman that makes them one. The marriage covenant requires the married parties to be faithful, loving, helpful to each other as long as they both shall live. This Church observes the wedding ceremony as holy and unto God.
